In his not so humble beginnings at The Humber School of Comedy, Writing and Performance, Jay Wells quickly immersed himself in the Toronto comedy scene. Performing stand-up comedy at various venues such as Yuk Yuk's and The Laugh Resort, he began honing his craft in front of a live audience. Before long, headlining, hosting independent shows, and opening for seasoned professionals became a natural occurrence. Equipped with The Queen Elizabeth II full academic scholarship for Language and Creative Writing, Jay never lost his solid foundation as a writer. Developing a hunger for live performance and a passion for writing, not to mention a strong relationship with the founding members, it was only natural that Jay found a home in THE BOOM. Collaborating with other various writing styles, he thrived by adding even more originality to an already adventurous troupe. If there is ever any confusion as to which one is Jay on stage, he'd be the loud, half naked one in a wig.
